Minutes of the committee meeting held on the 7th September 2010
Present: Mark Harris, Albert Stillwell, Ann Collins, Tony Standing, Phil Osborn, Gill Standing, Jack Simpson, Martin Gasson Apologies: Martin Tooth, Chris Charlton, Jon Robinson 1. Tractor shed wall now built 2. Clubhouse decorating on-going 3. Gas cylinder cage to be painted at a Saturday morning work party 4. Atco/small tees mower broken MG to look at time/weather permitting 5. Pond-planning permission given on 19th August 6. Power supply for compressor pending PO 7. Genny exhaust TF 8. Rabbit man retired, need to find a new one 9. Greens scarified but with little effect 10. Machinery audit-to do 11. Clubhouse wall inspection to do TS 12. Paving slabs on ditch by 10th fairway to do 13. Treasurer’s report-Income lower, less subs/green fees, some extra expenditure that was not planned for therefore after completion of tractor shed and installation of new pond the new 3rd green will be postponed until next year 14. JS offered to tidy paperwork etc. in clubhouse 15. PO-to put distribution board for compressor ‘hard’ wire with switch in clubhouse 16. Repair to block work on entrance to shed to be carried out after tractor shed is finished 17. PO-check outside light is working 18. TS reported letter from Sydney Andrew’s son informing the committee of his death, TS to reply 19. Waterhall fixtures 2011; TS to contact and suggest mid April and keep July fixture as it is. (these have now been agreed by Waterhall) 20. Buffet Presentation Evening Saturday 23rd October; TS to send out letters to all members with return slip asking for payment with slip. 21. Discussion took place with regard to continuing the SCGU membership next year, there are limited benefits for our members/club. Members will be asked to vote at the AGM on this matter. 22. Work party update AC; TS asked to check some of the names in the book with regard to their membership 23. AS-when we re-order top dressing for next year it needs to be of a higher grade as this year’s has not been very successful (MG to investigate, one option to bring rep to see the course and judge which type is ‘best’ for it) 24. AS-an oil problem with one of the machines, MG to look at it 25. MH-Roly Ridley Trophy won by Horton this year (2 points difference in scores) 26. Summer Stableford won by Ivan Holmes 27. MH-a buyer has been found for the yellow tractor, it will be going on 10th September (£60) 28. Presentation Evening Food-MG to choose from options available, MT to organise a raffle 29. AC-does the club have a ‘Wish List’? One to be created for the noticeboard Next Meeting Tuesday 5th October 2010 |
