Minutes of the committee meeting held on Tuesday 6th July 2010. Present; Albert Stillwell, Ann Collins, Chris Charlton, Tony Standing, Martin Gasson, Phil Osborne, Jack Simpson, Mark Harris, Jon Robinson, Martin Tooth, Gill Standing 1. Winner of Captain’s Day Cup Brian Cullen 2. Tractor shed wall, bricks arriving Sat. 10th 3. Clubhouse decorating on-going 4. Gas cylinder cage to be painted at a Saturday morning work party 5. Presentation Evening at East Brighton; £15 per head for hot/cold buffet, caterer needs to know details by 16th October 6. Notice to go on board for Presentation evening TS 7. Small tees mower broken 8. Planning application for pond with HDC 9. Power supply for compressor pending PO 10. Quick join kits purchased for pumping water to greens CC 11. Genny exhaust TF 12. Trees have been cut back 13. Rabbit man has been up to club again recently 14. Work parties, AC is contacting members who have not completed their hours 15. Greens mower cutters back on machine now, cost £670 MG 16. MG to investigate and see how much, if anything, can be salvaged from old rods 17. MG to purchase new set of rods £75 18. Outside of clubhouse needs further attention TS 19. 3rd green to be marked out again at next Saturday work party 20. Drag mat to be used on greens 21. MT to photograph table and chairs with view to advertising/selling on Ebay 22. Clubhouse tidying-stickers to be placed on all items to be kept MT 23. Old machines to be checked and any not working or not needed to be advertised in Friday Ad (free ads section) 24. Card checking on Sunday mornings-Markers need to check scores prior to writing on cards, cards will not be disallowed BUT rigorous checks will be carried out on 1st six on Sunday mornings 25. Handicap system-after further discussion MT to write to TJ 26. SCGU-members to be given details of benefits re. not re-joining prior to AGM, details to go out with Presentation Evening information 27. Two wasps nests in genny shed, I wasp nest under 9th tee sleepers 28. Cards to be given out in clubhouse ONLY on Sunday mornings/competition days, any members outside must come in and collect before they tee off 29. Back wall of clubhouse ‘bowing’ TS to investigate 30. Treasurer’s report-need to be very cautious with spending, JS to check green fees this year against last year for next meeting 31. MH not available for work parties next two months due to work commitments Next meeting Tuesday 3rd August 7.30pm
