Minutes of committee meeting held on Tuesday 6th April 2010 Present; Albert Stillwell, Chris Charlton, Tony Standing, Jon Robinson, Phil Osborne, Gill Standing, Jack Simpson, Mark Harris, Martin Tooth Apologies; Martin Gasson, Anne Collins 1. Welcome to John, Vice Captain 2010/11 2. Gas cylinder cage, pending, CC to look into cost of buying cage 3. Tractor shed wall, MH to continue Sat 10th April 4. Clubhouse decoration, painting to be continued by lady members 5. Clubhouse lighting, PO to bring costing for new lights to next meeting, (total cost needed for all materials needed) 6. Trophy Presentation 2010; October 23rd at East Brighton, £15 per head for hot/cold buffet and dessert. CC to ask MG to confirm the booking 7. Rates; MT- all business premises have been re-valued by LA, (rateable value is based on amount of rent that could be generated) MT will investigate the rateable value for the club 8. Atco conversion done, small greens/tees mower also as well. (MG) 9. Pond survey complete 10. Alterations to 3rd green, waste from coring to be used to form a bank at the bottom of the green 11. Power supply for compressor – pending 12. MT has booked machine for top dressing/coring 13. Sprinkler and pump for greens 7/8; 5 day members to be asked if they would operate. JR offered to come up and do as well. CC to research cost of sprinklers for next meeting 14. Genny exhaust, TS to investigate 15. MT Adverts updated and in BN5 and Steyning magazines 16. ‘Meet the Clubs’ Henfield Village Hall Friday 30th 7.30pm April MT/TS/GS 17. New Handicap software up and running, cost £200, TJ updating handicaps after each match 18. New Handicap committee; Captain/Vice Captain/Handicap Secretary (TJ) to discuss DS handicap at next Sunday match 19. Treasurer’s report-budget for year presented 20. Thanks to PT for up-dating/moving website 21. Rabbit man to continue this year, he has been up to course once this year 22. Roly Ridley Competition; Postponed due to weather, possibility of playing on 30th August 2010 23. Hardcore dumped at side of track down to clubhouse-MT to speak to landlord to see if anything can be done about it 24. Gate padlock is easily broken it two parts-someone to look at it at next Saturday work party 25. SCGU fees-JS to pay, TS to give numbers of members for payment 26. Work Parties; AC co-opted onto committee, she will only be able to attend every other meeting due to prior commitments, she will be asked to manage the work party name book 27. Materials order MT; 12t top dressing delivery 6/4/10, 4 bags grass seed (delivered), 10 red/yellow flags, 10 hole cups, 20 paint tins (for taking out top dressing) 28. Tombstone Trophy won by Andy Parsons 4th April 2010 29. New money sacks required, MT to get 30. MT-Rent has been paid 31.
